A Lesson in Growth.

Last week I started this space, and I realized a small truth: growth isn’t always about huge milestones. Sometimes, it’s simply noticing the little things, like setting time aside to reflect or choosing to move my body when I can.

One thing I’ve learned recently is that small daily choices can matter just as much as the occasional big decisions we face. It’s the quiet consistency, the moments of calm that help us get through the day. Giving yourself five minutes to journal, making that phone call to check in with someone you care about or pausing for a moment before choosing to react can help shape our trajectory.

This week, I’m reflecting on all those small choices, and how they’ve quietly shifted me toward becoming someone I respect and want to be. Growth is subtle. It can be messy, but it’s worth noticing.

What’s one small moment of growth you’ve experienced recently?

Such beauty and wisdom in these words, as well as the spaces in between Steph. For myself, I understand that calm will not always be present for me, so I have created a vision board with ways to help guide me back into calm and presence. Journaling gratitude/thoughts, talking out loud to myself with words of kindness or gentle firmness, depending on the circumstance, guided meditations and finding ways to express creativity through writing or music. Extending beyond my own self and consciously connecting with others through kindness brings such pleasure and calm as well:)

Wonderful Kristen. It’s so important to be gracious with yourself, especially when life gets in the way. We won’t always be calm but finding small things to help ground us is essential, and I love the idea of the vision board. Thank you for sharing!
